C.S Lewis' Ulster background

C.S Lewis is one of the most important Christian figures of the 20th century, and his books, such as the Narnia Children’s stories, are still widely read today

He came from Belfast, though spent much of his life in Oxford, and his background meant he had, as we all do, a number of built in prejudices and assumptions which would be challenged later.

Mercia Malcolm is a Church of Ireland rector in north Belfast. She recently spent some time studying this aspect of C.S Lewis.
