Knowing God's love more, through grief

The death of someone close can be shattering and everyone experiences grief differently; as there is no ‘normal’ or ‘right’ way to grieve.

But what can help with the pain is to talk about the person who has died and celebrate their life.

Miranda Gibbs got in touch with us here at Premier to share with us that her husband Sam, died in April 2020 and had recorded some beautiful songs about his faith, she would like us to hear.

Miranda spoke with Premier's Rachel Matthews and began by taking her mind back to a retreat 2 years prior to Sam dying, which seemed to offer them both a thin place (where heaven and earth feel close to one another) to hear from God and to prepare for the difficult journey ahead.

If you would like to talk to someone about your own grief, or difficulty you can call Premier Lifeline: The National Christian Helpline is a confidential telephone helpline offering a listening ear, emotional and spiritual support from a Christian perspective, prayer and signposting.

Premier Lifeline is open 9am to midnight every day of the year. Our telephone number is 0300 111 0101 (Standard landline rate - included in call packages where landline calls are included).
