The Reluctant Warrior Who Cares

1 in 8 adults (around 6.5 million people) are carers.

Ruth is a mum to 5 children, one of whom is learning disabled and understands the difficulties faced by those who carry or share caring responsibility and felt called by God to write Still Standing, but Never Standing Still - a devotional journal to support and encourage.

Ruth Bradshaw has been in caring roles for over 20 years.  Following a career in social work, she alongside her husband Wil went on to be a Shared lives provider, foster carer and then adopter and is on the leadership team in her local church Life Central in the West Midlands.

Ruth spoke to Premier's Rachel Matthews about her adoption journey and how this experience, led her to write a devotional journal especially for carers.
