Foster Care Fortnight – Brought to you by Croydon Foster

Croydon Council has around 800 children in its care - children who need care outside of their family in order to be safe.

Fostering is looking after a child or a teenager in your own home on a short-term or even on a longer-term basis. A paid Croydon foster carer takes on the everyday tasks that a parent does, such as taking children to school, preparing their meals, helping with homework, taking them to appointments and encouraging and supporting their interests.

We need carers for children of all ages, but specifically for children over ten and for sibling groups.

Every fostering family is UNIQUE, so don’t rule yourself out.

You do need time, energy, space and a commitment to make a difference to a child.

You don’t need to be employed, a home owner, a parent, married, or with a partner.
