Christian Medical Fellowship accuse RCOG of discrimination over contraception
Tue 29 Apr 2014
By Sarah McAllister
Christian doctors and nurses who refuse to prescribe emergency contraception are being denied qualifications from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
The organisation will let medics who object to the pill on religious grounds take courses but say they will be ineligible for a diploma at the end.
The RCOG has insisted the policy has always been in place, and nothing's changed.
However, Doctor Peter Saunders who is the CEO of the Christian Medical Fellowship has told Premier's News Hour why he wants the guidelines abolished.
