Fresh calls to end the persecution of Christians in Eritrea

Christian Solidarity Worldwide says all churches except for Orthodox, Catholic and Lutheran have been banned and the mass arrests of believers has increased.

Eleven years ago today Eritrea started its crackdown on churches.

Today, an anti-persecution charity is calling for this to end and wants authorities to stop the human rights violations there.

The charity's spokesperson Dr Khataza Gondwe told Premier's News Hour what exactly happened 11 years ago.
