Shots have been fired at an airport in Ukraine as troops are deployed to mount an operation against pro-Russian separatists.

Shots have been fired at an airport in Ukraine as troops are deployed to mount an operation against pro-Russian separatists. Kramatorsk air base now appears to be back under Ukrainian control.

Meanwhile, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev claims Ukraine is on the verge of civil war.

Julia Doxat-Purser from the European Evangelical Alliance has told Premier's News Hour is hoping the Church can still be a uniting force within the troubled country.
