Tony is also the host of God’s Healing Love, featuring teaching from his colleagues, Revd Martin Turner and Revd Peter Edwards from Methodist Central Hall in London.
‘Tony Smiles’ as he’s been called, has been with Premier Christian Radio since 1997 – back in the days when he still had hair! He continues to this day and can be heard presenting the Saturday Quiet Time each week from 6am until 8am. From 7am each Saturday, Tony plays reflective music requested by listeners and reads dedications, prayers and Scripture. You’ll also hear him hosting God’s Healing Love, featuring teaching from his colleagues, Revd Martin Turner and Revd Peter Edwards, from Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, London, where Tony is the deputy superintendent and media chaplain.
Tony is also an author and the trustee of several charities, including being a founding member and chair of the Church and Media Network. Tony is married to Frances and they have two adult children. Tony lives life to the full and is an active Rotarian, who also loves music and swimming. He’s not a brilliant ventriloquist, but his puppet ‘Darren’ is infamous. Tony is also ever an optimist – seen in his passionate support for Fulham Football Club.
