Army chaplains during the First World War

Rev Cat Thatcher tells the story of the Army Chaplains during the First World War. During the First World War an unknown padre summed up the attitude of many of the Chaplains, "If the men can't go to church then the church must go to the men". They brought comfort, care and compassion to those caught up in the grim realities of life on the Western Front.  100 years later West Yorkshire vicar the Rev Cat Thatcher is passionate about re-telling the stories of these brave men.
