St Paul's Celebration

Watch what happened at Premier's special 20th anniversary celebration service at St Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday 22nd July. Don’t miss the chance to catch up on the music, prayers and talks from this wonderful occasion!

We were joined on the night by many of Premier’s friends from the past 20 years and were delighted to welcome the Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, Graham Kendrick, the All Souls Orchestra and the Riding Lights Theatre Company as we gave thanks to God.

About the celebration

I am delighted that you are able to join us this evening for our special 20th Anniversary Celebration. It seems such a long time since that sunny day on the 10th June 1995 in Battersea Park, when Premier Christian Radio went on the air for the first time.

The journey since then has been exciting, full of both challenges and opportunities. But through it all we have been so conscious of the faithfulness of God that has led us to this day. I believe Premier stands on the brink of another amazing 20 years. The advances in technology and the ability to reach people literally wherever they are, speaks right into the heart of some of the challenges we face in the 21st century as we see the changing shape of church and the new ways people are engaging with the Christian faith. Premier indeed has an important part to play in enabling people to put faith at the heart of their daily lives and bring Christ to their communities.

As we gather to give thanks to God for all He has done; I could not let today pass by without expressing our thanks to all those who have served Premier so well over the last twenty years – Directors, Trustees, members of staff, prayer intercessors and volunteers. Without such dedicated people Premier would have never been able to fulfil the vision we believe that God has given to us. Equally we are so grateful for those who have prayed for us and supported us financially, sometimes sacrificially, to ensure that Premier can remain a strong Christian voice here in the UK.

Finally I trust that you will not only enjoy this evening but be inspired by our vision for the next twenty years and all that together we can achieve for the Kingdom of God and His glory.
