Global evangelist and founder of Christ for all Nations (CfaN)...
Anna Cookson will be bringing you a super tasty Big Breakfast this week. As we look ahead to Father’s Day on Sunday, we’ll be hearing about it from a slightly unusual perspective…from a married Catholic Priest with 10 children! Fr Ian Hellyer was an Anglican vicar but, four years ago, he converted and was ordained a Catholic Priest after receiving a dispensation from clerical celibacy from the Pope! So what does Father’s Day mean to him and his family, and does he feel he’s in a better position to give teaching about family life than other priests?
Then you’ll be in for a gospel treat with Evans Ogboi who is the Musical Director for the MOBO Award-winning choir, Living Faith Connections. We’ll be hearing how things have really taken off for them since winning the award in 2014 and after being a finalist in the BBC Songs of Praise Choir of the Year. Plus Evans will be showcasing some of his solo material, one of which you can find on This Is Gospel, an album released by Premier Gospel, featuring the best in contemporary UK Gospel music.
Also, Premier’s Ian Britton has been enjoying time at the family event, The Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh, as they celebrate their 175th anniversary. We’ll hear from him as he catches us with Andy Campbell, the chaplain for the show.
Not forgetting prizes galore in our regular competitions, 66 Seconds and From the Mouths of Babes.
