O is for Onesimus who was the former slave to Philemon - a friend of the Apostle Paul and who stole money from his master and run away to Rome where he hid among the crowds. While there he encountered Paul and became a Christian. Onesimus was a common name for slaves in those days it simply means helpful or useful and having come to faith it seems that he became helpful as a supporter of Paul during a period of his imprisonment. Hear how God transformed this runaway thief.
