Any regular listener of Premier Christian radio will know the name and voice of John Pantry. He’s been a firm on-air fixture for 24 years, well known as the anchor of Inspirational Breakfast every Mon-Thurs mornings.
After two decades, partnered with a string of on-air hosts he’s fading down the mic and retiring from full-time broadcasting.
However, what many people may not know is that John is a very successful singer-songwriter and producer starting out working as a sound engineer in the 1960’s working with all the big bands of the time such as The Bee Gees, The New Seekers and Small Faces. He went on to be a major part of the emerging Christian music scene in the UK before producing solo albums of his own and penning the classic song- Empty Handed.
On his retirement from full-time broadcasting we pay tribute to the life and work of John Pantry exploring his work and life and see how God used him throughout it all.
