A few years ago, the word 'Foodbank' was very rare in our vocabulary, sadly. But it has now become commonplace. And now, Baby Banks - facilities providing essentials for families with babies - are now springing up around the country.
Baby Basics is a volunteer-led project aiming to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby. It started in Sheffield in 2009 and since then, more and more centres have been set up.
The first facility of its kind is about to be opened in Cornwall and Premier's Esther Higham spoke to Reverend Becca Bell who is co-ordinating the project in Liskeard.
