A Londoner has brought two huge swords to church after turning...
On Monday Dave Rose is in the hot seat. He’ll be hearing from pastor and author, Nancy Ortgerg. She’s the Director of Leadership Development at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, in Northern California. She's just penned Seeing in the Dark: a guide to getting through dark periods in your life.
Plus Dave will be asking: do we have a moral commitment to be involved in politics? Some Christians argue that it’s not our business to be involved in politics, because we have other matters to concentrate on, that getting people to heaven is more important than trying to straighten out a fallen world. If God is sovereign, can He be trusted to take care of politics? Or is appealing to God's almighty power just a convenient excuse for avoiding our own responsibility? Dave will be joined by Andy Flannagan, one of the directors of Christians in Politics. They’re organising a weekend, later this year, for people wanting to explore how their faith can impact the public square.
Sam Hailes from Premier Christianity magazine will be reviewing the newspapers. And in the Fact or Fiction competition you’ll have the chance win a Divine dark chocolate delicious taster hamper and a pair of tickets to Mission Worship 2015, a prize worth £200!
