According to the charity Shelter more than a quarter of a million people are homeless in England, and as of autumn 2016, it’s estimated that over 4000 people a night sleep rough on our streets. What do we do when we walk past someone who is begging – Should we give them money? And if giving money isn’t a solution – then what?
