Under the orders of Kaiser Wilhelm II, the German army went to war in August 1914 and became embroiled in a conflict which took the lives of 37 million people worldwide. As part of HOPE Together's Silent Night event at Crystal Palace, his great-great-grandson Prince Philip Kiril of Prussia is asking for forgiveness for Wilhelm's failure to prevent the outbreak of World War One, and joins the commemoration of the Christmas Truce of 1914.
