Heritage tourism in the ancient City of Durham is set to benefit from a new Churches, Chapels and Cafés guide.
The guide features 17 churches, each with its own story to tell and role to play in how worship shaped the historic city.
Each church is also linked by one common thread, they are all today active living places of worship.
