Chris Lawson Jones: fatherhood has made me a better worship leader
Chris Lawson Jones told Premier how his approach to leading sung worship has been impacted by the arrival of his baby.
Lawson Jones explained how the "weakness and tiredness" he has known since his wife gave birth a few months ago have made him more reliant on God and, consequently, a "more effective" worship leader.
In an Premier interview recorded at the 2018 New Wine conference, where Chris Lawson has been leading worship, the musician also shared his excitement for new and emerging styles of worship music.
Speaking with Alex Williams, Lawson Jones also emphasised that sung worship led on dazzling stages like those at New Wine should be consider rare celebrations - and Christians should not be deterred from more modesty approaches to worship at their local churches.
