
Christian organisation welcomes tougher mortgage

Tougher rules which could see homebuyers mortgage applications rejected because of phone bills or gym memberships has been welcomed by a Christian mortgage company.
It follows the introduction by the Financial Conduct Authority of a more stringent application process, which comes into effect from this weekend.
Speaking to Des Busteed on Premier's News Hour - Director of Mortgages for Christians Philip Harris - said it was time lending was put under the microscope.
