19-year-old Yashika Bageerathi from Mauritius remains in Yarl's Wood immigration removal centre this afternoon.

A petition to stop a student from being deported to Mauritius has reached over 170,000 signatures.

Zoe Thompson, who's Deputy Principal at the Oasis Trust School in Hadley in London, has told the News Hour is hoping she won't have to leave the UK.

Tory MP David Burrowes who's a Christian's told the News Hour why he's also been campaigning for her to stay in the UK.
