The Gateshead prayer walks will see the Bishop visit a variety of locations including: The Gateshead Millennium Bridge; The Sage; Trinity Square; Gateshead Town Centre and The Angel of the North; as well as a variety of civic and community locations.
Bishop Paul said: “I love Prayer Walks because they are a great way to discover an area, meet its people and pray together with them.
“As we walk and pray together we seek to bless, and be blessed by, the people and communities that we visit. I hope that people will join me. It is fun, enjoyable and really rewarding to do.”
Premier’s Northern Correspondent Ian Britton joined Bishop Paul on Friday’s prayer walk.
The Bishop of Bolton, Mark Ashcroft, and the Bishop of Middleton, Mark Davies, have dusted off their walking boots and have set out on a prayer pilgrimage across Greater Manchester and Rossendale as part of Thy Kingdom Come.
