It is one of the major social and medical challenges of our day.

Official figures indicate that by 2021 one million people will be living with the condition.

To mark Dementia Action Week Premiers Northern Correspondent Ian Britton has been on the road uncovering dementia stories from across the UK.

In the programme he explores the role the church can play in someone’s journey with dementia, as well as revealing some of the great grass roots initiatives that are already taking place.
