The scheme was birthed out of a partnership between Scripture Union, Youth For Christ, Moorlands Bible College and a number of local churches.
The hope is that this will help the students to explore what Christian ministry might look like for them in the future.
Premiers Northern Correspondent Ian Britton was invited to meet them as they shared about their experiences of taking a gap year.

The Church of the Resurrection and St Barnabas in Beswick, Manchester, has been temporarily transformed by The Jesus Doors’ Easter Stations art installation. The 28 paintings on 14 real doors are a modern take on the traditional stations of the cross.
Every Sunday Christian’s around the country are joining Premier Christian Radio and Churches Together in England for a special time of prayer at 7pm.
