More than one million competitors have taken part, including Great Britain’s greatest ever distance runner, four-time Olympic, World and European champion Sir Mo Farah.

This year 57,000 runners will make the 13.1 mile journey from Newcastle to South Shields, crossing the iconic Tyne Bridge and enjoying fantastic spectator support all along the route.

With just two days to go Premier’s Northern Correspondent Ian Britton met up with the Rev Dr Robert Ward whose church, St Luke’s, is just yards away from the start line.

Ian also met up with Baptist Minister Paul Revill who is one of the 57,000 running in this years run.
