Thousands came together in the centre of Manchester to grieve the loss of so many innocent young lives.

In Newcastle hundreds gathered with faith leaders from across the city to show solidarity with the City of Manchester.

Bishop Christine, Bishop of Newcastle, who spoke and prayed at the Newcastle vigil told Premier “The message I want to take from this, hard as it is, is that we have to hold on to the reality and the truth that love is stronger and hatred. Love wins.”

Premier’s Northern Correspondent Ian Britton spoke with some of the people who had gathered in Newcastle to remember.
