Their contribution has been recognised by Northumbria Police and Best Bar None who have awarded them excellence and special recognition awards respectively.
They currently operate in Newcastle city centre from 10pm – 4am on Friday and Saturday nights.
Premier’s Northern Correspondent Ian Britton joined the Newcastle Street Pastors as they went out on patrol in the city centre one Saturday night just before Christmas.
