For him Northumberland is more than a holiday destination and he loves being out talking about Jesus and encouraging people in their faith.
And yet despite all that the North has to offer, many denominations struggle to attract people willing to minister in this part of the country. For Bishop Mark there is a very real North South Divide.
Premiers Northern Correspondent Ian Britton met up with Bishop Mark in his home near Morpeth.
