Recently the Tyneside Vineyard Church felt God speaking to them about ‘feeding the hungry with good things’ and this caused them to re-think how they connected with the poor and marginalised in their community.

These included the Presence Project in Walker, Newcastle upon Tyne, which works to support people in difficult circumstances, including people who are asylum seekers or leaving prison.
They were also shown around the Gateshead Foodbank in Blaydon by Deacon Tracey Hulme and met one woman who had originally been a user of the foodbank, but was now working as a volunteer.
The President is no stranger to the North East having met his wife Marion while studying at Newcastle University, and later served as Director of the Wesley Study Centre in Durham.
