Bishop calls for ban on gambling adverts before watershed
The Government has been urged to curtail gambling adverts amid concerns children and young people are being inundated with messages that normalise betting.

Going forward they are all going to spend the next two months exploring Jesus through various services, prayers and outreach events.
The Revd Phil Burns, told Premier: “Every Saturday we will have a #doyouknowHim? stand outside in Skipton to engage people in conversation about Jesus.
“In the churches, we will also be following a 10-week sermon series on Jesus. This includes inter-church small groups too. We are also having some joint prayer events.”
The initiative came about following last year’s Easter service planning which developed into a 10-week sermon and small group series, followed by a number of the town’s churches.
The guest speaker at the launch service was Bishop Nick Baines, Bishop of Leeds, who told Premier after the service “he was very encouraged.”
