The Choir was founded in 1983 by Molly and Paul Wasswa, two teachers who established the Molly and Paul Christian Schools, which seek to improve the health, education and welfare of children suffering through disease, war and poverty in Uganda.

The Choir members are selected from children who attend the seven Molly and Paul schools.

Each concert is a fast moving, exhilarating, programme of live music and dance from their home country of Uganda.

Premiers Northern Correspondent Ian Britton caught up with the choir when they visited St Helens Church in Gateshead.

You can listen to his report below.
