Reading The Bible in a year. It’s something many Christians try to do –but it can be quite a tough assignment.  During this year, we’ll be following one person’s progress as she takes on this task.

She’s Jenny Erskine, from Belfast.  Jenny is a mother of three grown up children, and she has been a Christian for many years. She’s also a member of the  Commission Christian Radio team in Northern Ireland. She is sharing her experiences with us each month, in conversation with Colm Flanagan, our Ni correspondent:

Desi Maxwell

Desi Maxwell is a Bible teacher based in Northern Ireland, and runs a ministry dedicated mainly to helping Christians understand the Jewish roots of our faith.  Of course many of Jesus’ pictures and parables were based on the natural world  - such as the vine.  On a recent visit to a town named Jerusalem, in Slovenia, eastern Europe, Desi discovered a Biblical truth about vines, in an unlikely place.
