Durham Cathedral appoint new Master of the Choristers and Organist
Daniel Cook, who was born in Newcastle and grew up in Hartlepool, County Durham, has been appointed as Master of the Choristers and Organist at Durham Cathedral.

The festivals organisers have set out to bring the town’s churches together to help celebrate the areas artistic Christian heritage through contemporary and traditional arts and share the vibrancy, the joy and the colour of this God-given creative expression.
Offering a wide range of Christian faith-inspired arts projects the Festival is now open for everybody to enjoy.
This year they opened with A Big Sing, directed by conductor David Ogden, with Choirs and Musicians, from all over Cheltenham.
Premier’s Northern Correspondent Ian Britton spoke with Anthony Oliver about this year’s festival.
