Premier Christian Radio Your voice of hope!
Some churches will be opening their doors for extra hours and services, while others will be encouraging people to visit with the offer of guided tours, cream teas, exhibitions, tower tours and much more.
The events run over two weekends: 8th & 9th July and 22nd & 23rd July.
The Revd David McCoulough, Director of Partnerships & Mission in the Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham, said: “Growing Disciples: Wider, Younger, Deeper is at the heart of our mission in every community across the city and county and I hope these Open Churches weekends will be opportunities to welcome new visitors and old friends and neighbours, to establish the beginnings of new relationships, and that peoples’ hearts will be open to the good news of Jesus.”
Booklets containing details about every church taking part, and the activities and services they are offering, are available in local churches, libraries and Tourist Information Centres, or online.
