According to Age UK, more than a million older people say they go for over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member. And almost 5 million older people feel out of touch with the pace of modern life.

The coronavirus pandemic this year has increased many people’s struggle with loneliness, isolation, and wellbeing.

Carl Knightley is CEO of Faith in Later life and chatted to Rachel Matthews about their campaign and explained how Christmas may look for many older people this year with their Not Forgotten, Christmas postcards campaign. www.faithinlaterlife.org.uk

We may not be able to be physically close to people right now, but you can bring your presence into someone’s life by picking up the phone. The power of a phone call can uplift one’s heart and spirit just by the sound and tone of your voice. Premier is inviting people to commit to calling 5 people this Christmas season, find out more by visiting www.callfive.co.uk
