The promise made to God has been kept until today and whilst the pandemic meant the 2020 the Passion Play had to be postponed – the 42nd Oberammergau Passion Play will now take place in 2022.
The village of Oberammergau is already preparing. Premier’s Rachel Matthews spoke with Frederick Mayet.
