Special Spirits
As the summer holidays are upon us, many of our churches are running holiday clubs for children as they are given space to run around and learn more about God. But for those families with children who have additional needs, it can be a very difficult time with limited places to go and the lack of structure of school life, quite challenging.
One church in the West Midlands, is working with the community to host a weekly stay and play session called Special spirits, where children with additional needs can come with their siblings, whilst their parents have a cup of tea and a much needed chat.
Our regional reporter Rachel Matthews, went to visit the group at Brierley Hill Methodist Church, in the West Midlands.
