Micha Jazz

Micha is a self-styled contemplative Franciscan Friar who, when away from the microphone, enjoys running wild in the kitchen. His passion for food has led him to establish a creative and healthy kitchen at St Cuthbert’s Oratory on the South Coast of England. Here he feeds various pilgrims visiting on retreat or simply to hang out and indulge his coffee and conversation habit.

Together with his Chihuahua, Dylan, Micha walks and reflects on the many aspects of life. These reflections provide the inspiration for a variety of blogs, articles and poems. A spiritual director and mediator by profession, Micha is never happier than when engaged in supporting individuals in finding creative solutions to life’s many twists and turns. He notes that the principal inspirations in his life have been the Rolling Stones, Baloo the bear and Mother Theresa. Between them they have taught him to move freely, live in the moment and do the small things as if his life depended upon them.
