Gerald finds that Christianity is not only about humanity seeking God, but more importantly, God seeking us. So the hunt is on. Now we see him; now we don’t. What is a religious experience? Is God within us, or outside – or both? And is God to be found in or through the Bible, art, nature, other people, deep inside ourselves?

Questions:

1. Just suppose that God reveals Himself to each one of us. There is a fair chance He has already revealed Himself to you. Has He? And, if so, how has He?
2. Somebody sitting next to you on a Number 9 bus tells you that God wants him to build a floating zoo. He wants you to help him discover if this really is God talking to him. What tests would you apply?
3. What gets in the way of our hearing and responding to God’s messages to us?
4. Now choose the biggest obstacle. What can you do to get it out of the way?
