As we draw towards the end of Black History Month, we thought we’d have a bit of a history class with Viv Broughton, Author of ‘Too Close To Heaven: The Illustrated History of Gospel Music’. Throughout Big Breakfast, you’ll hear a 5 part documentary, taking us right back to the early spirituals, right through to the songs you know and love from the present day, including the stories behind the songs and the impact that they had on society.
