ANDREW GRAYSTONE talks to Chick Yuill about his book, BLEEDING FOR JESUS. This is the extraordinary true story of John Smyth QC, a high-flying barrister who in the second half of the twentieth century used his role in the church to abuse more than a hundred men and boys in three countries and evaded justice for four decades. Andrew has heard the excruciating testimony of many of Smyth’s victims, and has uncovered court and church documents, reports, letters and emails. It is a painful and tragic story. But it is one that needs to be told and heard. And it is one that has many lessons for the church and society at large in our time.
