Faith Hope and Love with Chick Yuill

On Tuesday 6th June 1944, Harry Read, a 20 year old wireless operator parachuted into Normandy with a battery the size and weight of a toolbox strapped to his right leg.

On the seventy fifth anniversary commemoration of D-day, he boarded a Dakota aircraft and did it all over again – this time without the battery! The attention of the nation was captured not only by his remarkable courage but by the gracious way he answered the questions of the media and grasped one more opportunity to witness to his Christian faith.

Harry, who has spent his life in another army, The Salvation Army, becoming the national leader of the movement in the 1980s, spoke to Premier’s Chick Yuill about becoming famous, giving people permission to fail, the importance of forgiveness and rounds it all off by reading some of his poetry.

Harry’s books “Language of the Soul” are available on Amazon Kindle and as a paperback and “Heart Talk” is available only on Amazon Kindle.
