Kemi Olowe received a diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer in 2018 at the age of just 33.
Having just given birth, she was told that her symptoms were simply the result of hormones and breastfeeding her son, but soon discovered it was breast cancer.
4 years later, Kemi has gone through a chemotherapy, a mastectomy, reconstruction and is now in recovery.
For this year’s Tickled Pink campaign, Breast Cancer Now received hundreds of encouraging phrases and slogans that helped their supporters through a breast cancer diagnosis.
Kemi’s phrase was one of the final three chosen to appear on a T-shirt now being sold in Asda:
“I am a beautiful masterpiece.”
Listen below to her interview.
