Christians shouldn’t be “death-denying”
Yvonne Tulloch was devastated when her husband suddenly died in 2008. Even as a strong Christian, and an ordained minister, her life went into “freefall” and she felt like “God disappeared”. Her disorienting experience of grief led her to set up Loss and Hope to help churches support bereaved people better. She tells Esther Higham that churches need to be communities that understand the reality of death, whilst offering the hope of the resurrection.
