Inspirational Breakfast with Esther Higham

TV historian Prof David Olusoga says it’s “nonsense” to suggest that removing statues of historical figures linked to slavery “impoverishes” our history.

How should Christians respond? Is it better to pull down statues that offend, or use them as a chance to educate ourselves on Britain’s past mistakes?

Bishop Dr Joe Aldred, Honorary Research Fellow and the University of Roehampton and expert in the history and theology of the Black Church in the UK told Esther Higham this is an opportunity to get a wider view of our story.
