If you asked most people what the Christmas story is about – they’d tell you it was about the birth of Jesus.

But have you ever thought of it from the perspective of  the prophetess Anna? Or the Innkeeper’s wife?

Stephen Cottrell is the Bishop of Chelmsford and the author of a number of best-selling books (including How to Pray and Do Nothing to Change Your Life: Discovering What Happens When You Stop.)  and his new Advent book, Walking Backwards to Christmas.

He has just penned a marvellous book re-telling the story backwards.

It’s also from the perspective of some of the characters we don’t usually hear from –  or think of as Christmas people including: Isaiah, the shepherds, wise men, Joseph and Mary.
