Ever heard of campanology?

The art of bell-ringing is a quintessentially English activity – it’s the sound that calls people to worship and marks a celebration.

To help make sure church bells don’t fall silent, new bell-ringers need to be recruited and trained.

And in the North Yorkshire town of Selby, they’re using cutting-edge technology to train young bell-ringers.

Premier’s Northern Correspondent, Ian Britton, went to Selby Abbey to find out more!
