Could you imagine a world where the Bible didn’t exist? Well for many people in our society who have never handled or owned their own bible – that is the case.

The Bible is God’s Word that speaks into all our lives. It’s a book for all people, for all time, but unfortunately the Bible is gradually becoming a closed book to our increasingly secular society.

One organisation set on challenging this trend is GideonsUK. 

Each year they distribute more than 800,000 Scriptures in the UK to those who work in the police, armed forces, ambulance and fire services, but also to hotels, hospitals, prisons, colleges, universities, care homes and medical centres.
