Inspirational Breakfast with Esther Higham
We can all agree that a lot has changed in schools over the years, when it comes to issues of faith and culture. Gone are the days of singing Christian songs in school assemblies and during Christmas many school nativities intentional leave Jesus out, for fear of offending or isolating other faiths.
By law state schools must provide religious education for all pupils from the age of 4-19, and 51% of this should focus on studying the Christian faith.
Faith in Schools is a Christian education charity that’s been running for 15 years.
Last year they shared the gospel with more than 28,600 pupils in their schools and facilitated churches in hosting 4000 children at Christian events!
Rich Barton (Manager and Schools Worker in Canning Town), and Alice Probert (schools team leader and school worker in Forest Gate) joined John Pantry and Craig Wakeling on Inspirational Breakfast this morning.
