Inspirational Breakfast with Esther Higham

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s largest arts festival.

This year, a Salvation Army community church is taking centre stage at the Fringe. They see the month-long festival as an opportunity to share faith.

David Standen, a former resident at the Salvation Army’s Cambria Life centre for people overcoming homelessness, has been given the opportunity to perform!

He tells Inspirational Breakfast how he didn’t believe in mental illness. That is – until he got Depression himself.

Inspirational Breakfast with Esther Higham Nine months ago, floods in the UK devastated many communities – and Kendal was particularly badly hit.One church isn’t just talking about change. They’re taking real action. This weekend, volunteers will be plant potting, rebuilding gardens and painting houses all to help the effort to rebuild and start again. To fill us in on the gardening cause is Jonny Gios, community worker in Sandylands.
